Sheffield to join theEword

Entrepreneur Al Mackin’s specialist search agency theEword has recruited Manchester technology entrepreneur Chris Sheffield as chairman.

Sheffield, a former recipient of EN’s “technology entrepreneur of the year” award is best known for building the reverse auctions and mobile gaming company Million-2-1, which he sold to IGT, one of the world’s largest gaming companies, in 2008.

Commenting on his appointment, Sheffield said, “The potential within theEword was obvious and so made my choice to join an easy one. It’s a really exciting time to be joining the company and I’m looking forward to growing with them.”
