Great Days Out exhibition

Date: Saturday, February 25, 2012 (All day)
Event Type: Exhibition
Organiser: Visit Manchester

Group travel organisers from across the UK will travel to Manchester in February for the 30th annual Great Days Out exhibition.

The event is expected to attract up to 2,000 people and over 130 attractions, tourist boards and transport providers.

Paul Simpson, managing director of Visit Manchester, said: “Great Days Out provides group travel organisers with inspirational ideas for day trips across the UK, Ireland and beyond.

“Domestic tourism is incredibly important to the UK economy – more so than ever during periods of economic uncertainty - and this event plays an important part in helping visitor attractions to secure future business. As the host city of the event, this is also a great opportunity to showcase Manchester and its ‘days out’ offering to the lucrative group travel market.”

Confirmed exhibitors include: Cadbury World, Blackpool Pleasure Beach, LegoLand Discovery Centre, Mersey Ferries, the National Football Museum and the Royal Air Force Museum. Tourism authorities in attendance include: Go Cumbria, Visit Liverpool and Visit Blackpool.
