With a £30million investment, Wigan and Leigh College now boasts resources and facilities that are meeting the needs of local, regional and national employers. The College is increasingly recognised as a first-choice provider of training and work-based learning. These services extend to offering consultancy to employers to identify their business needs. Our training can be designed to suit their requirements and tailored as required.

Our Train to Gain services helps businesses get the training they need to succeed. This government-funded initiative aims to improve productivity and competitiveness by ensuring that employees having the right skills to do the job. Workplace assessment, delivery on and off site, modern learning materials and staff with industry experience all combine to create a comprehensive solution for upskilling the workforce.

Wigan and Leigh College Training Works offers training for apprenticeships and has a long tradition of introducing qualified and highly skilled employees to the workforce. The College is at the forefront of the new apprentice framework, which is designed to meet the challenges of a modern global marketplace. Our programmes are delivered on College sites across the borough, to suit the needs of employers from a large range of sectors.
